Role Overview
We seek an experienced Programme Manager to lead transformative projects across New Zealand and Australia. This role requires ownership from program initiation through to delivery, ensuring outcomes of the highest quality, value, and performance, either independently or as part of a team.
Recognizing the importance of AI in advancing technology initiatives, this position offers the opportunity to influence AI project delivery strategies across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver outstanding results for clients.
- Manage project governance and delivery operations to ensure high-quality outcomes within complex, multi-platform IT environments.
- Lead project design, planning, and scheduling of applications and infrastructure initiatives, aligning progress with timelines and client expectations.
- Identify, acquire, and oversee project resources; prepare budgets, secure approvals, and monitor financial performance and benefit realization.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and execute change management plans assessing business impacts.
- Establish and nurture strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and manage vendor contracts and agreements.
- Oversee business continuity planning, including development, review, testing, and training, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
- Lead project teams, provide guidance within company policies, and manage software development life cycle phases from requirements gathering to implementation.
Given the evolving nature of the IT sector, you may be called upon to undertake diverse roles within the company to meet business demands and broaden your expertise.
Candidate Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven experience leading programmes in client environments, with knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and risk management frameworks considered a plus.
- Successful track record in delivering technology and business transformation projects amidst complex organizational landscapes.
- Self-driven, focused on achieving exceptional customer and business results across multiple initiatives.
- Experience managing large and complex programmes involving multiple workstreams and platforms, preferably within consulting or client settings.
- Strong leadership skills to build, direct, and motivate collaborative teams, aligning diverse projects with strategic objectives.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical software development, implementation programmes, and interconnected technology elements.
- Benefits from experience in AI-related programme management, combined with adaptability and eagerness to learn emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing diverse audiences including executives, technical staff, and business leaders.
- Strong financial control abilities, including budget oversight, benefit tracking, and understanding revenue/cost impacts.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies applied effectively at programme level.
