About the Role
Integral Diagnostics (IDX) is seeking an experienced MRI Radiographer to fill the position of MRI Modality Lead at the O'Connor clinic in Western Australia. This role blends clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, offering a career step-up for MRI professionals passionate about mentoring, operational management, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily clinical leadership and guidance to the MRI team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered service.
- Guarantee MRI examinations are conducted safely, accurately, and according to established protocols.
- Promote and uphold best practices in MRI safety, quality control, and scanning methodologies.
- Manage MRI workflow, staff rostering, and ensure adequate team coverage.
- Offer mentorship, technical support, and training to MRI radiographers to foster skill development and competency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve MRI protocols, procedures, and safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance and proper use of MRI equipment and liaise with vendors for troubleshooting and operational issues.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, modality leaders, and site management for service development and quality audits.
- Stay updated with innovations in MRI technology and contribute to service expansion.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Medical Imaging or a related field.
- Current registration with AHPRA and possession or eligibility for a Western Australia Radiation Use Licence.
- Substantial MRI clinical experience and comprehensive knowledge of MRI safety and protocols.
- Relevant MRI accreditation aligned with clinical practice level.
- Either prior leadership experience in MRI or the ambition and capability to lead.
- Proficiency with RIS/PACS systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build productive relationships with clinical teams and radiologists.
- Strong organizational and time management skills appropriate for a busy clinical setting.
- Commitment to mentoring and professional development.
Postgraduate MRI qualifications and additional leadership or managerial experience will be highly valued.
