Java Selenium Test Engineer

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Java Selenium Test Engineer to join its Bengaluru East delivery team. In this role, you will work closely with clients on quality assurance, resolving issues, and maintaining a strong customer experience while supporting technology-driven transformation programs.

What you will do

• Act as a point of contact for clients on QA-related matters and issue resolution.
• Review requirements and designs, validate architecture, and help maintain service quality.
• Contribute to project effort estimation and support solution delivery planning.
• Carry out technical risk assessment and participate in code review and unit test plan review activities.
• Guide teams to produce efficient, high-quality deliverables and follow organizational processes and knowledge-sharing practices.
• Help build effective software systems and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.

Skills and knowledge expected

• Hands-on understanding of automation testing, especially with Java and Selenium.
• Exposure to more than one technology stack.
• Strong grasp of architecture and design fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of testing tools and agile methods.
• Understanding of software development and maintenance lifecycle activities.
• Familiarity with estimation approaches and quality processes.
• Basic business domain awareness to interpret requirements correctly.
• Analytical thinking, strong technical capability, and good communication.
• Sound understanding of software quality assurance, SOLID principles, and modelling techniques.
• Awareness of current technologies and industry trends.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
