About the Role
Join the Graphics System team at a leading technology company in Cork, Ireland, to contribute to advancing mobile graphics solutions. This role involves developing high-fidelity simulation models for next-generation GPU architectures designed for mobile devices, focusing on delivering powerful graphics capabilities with efficient power consumption. The position requires collaboration with architects, hardware designers, and software teams to refine GPU designs and ensure functional accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed bit-accurate functional simulator models (C-Models) using C/C++ to represent new GPU architectures and technologies.
- Design comprehensive test suites, execute functional verification and validation across both C-Model and RTL simulations to confirm design correctness.
- Conduct rigorous conformance, stress, and randomized testing to ensure system stability across GPU and compute subsystems.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of systems engineering or equivalent experience; alternatively, a Master’s with 2+ years or a PhD qualified.
- Proficient programming skills in C++ for system modelling and a strong conceptual grasp of computer architectures and graphics processing pipelines.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities with emphasis on writing clean, maintainable code.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with graphics, ray tracing, and compute pipelines including APIs such as DirectX, OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan.
- Scripting experience in languages such as Perl or Python.
- Familiarity with SystemC and Transaction-Level Modeling (TLM).
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
- Background in graphics or compute driver and compiler development is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hardware description languages like Verilog, Vera, or SystemVerilog is a plus.
