This is a full-time, onsite Mechanical Design Engineer internship lasting 6 months at Bijon Trading Private Limited, the Indian entity of Genotek, a leader in innovative materials for commercial construction. Interns will directly contribute to live engineering projects involving SolidWorks modeling and finite element analysis (FEA), with their work undergoing reviews by senior engineers. Projects span sectors including tech parks, airports, metros, malls, and data centres across India, Middle East, and Singapore.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create detailed product models using SolidWorks and perform load and stress simulations crucial for ongoing projects.
- Generate 2D AutoCAD drawings alongside 3D renderings for presentation to clients and architects.
- Compile comprehensive project documentation such as technical data sheets, submittals, and bills of quantity (BOQ) take-offs.
- Leverage AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to assist in calculations, documentation, drawing review, and other engineering tasks.
Who Can Apply?
- Only candidates available for a full-time internship, based in Bangalore, capable of joining between 31st August 2026 and 5th October 2026, and committed for 6 months.
- Mechanical Engineering students in their final year or recent graduates from 2024, 2025, or 2026 cohorts.
- Individuals possessing foundational knowledge in SolidWorks, Strength of Materials, and Machine Design are preferred.
- Applicants must own a laptop compliant with SolidWorks software requirements.
- The internship requires physical presence in the Bangalore office due to hands-on collaboration and site visits.
