About Vinayaka Timber Enterprises
Vinayaka Timber Enterprises, based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is involved in manufacturing and processing timber products, industrial wooden packaging, and metal fabrication. The company serves clients in industrial, marine, defence, and government/PSU sectors.
Role Summary
This position seeks a hands-on Workshop and Production Supervisor experienced in timber woodworking, steel fabrication, labour management, and maintaining workshop operations.
Key Duties
- Supervise activities including timber cutting, carpentry, and woodworking.
- Oversee fabrication tasks involving mild steel (MS) and stainless steel (SS), welding, and related jobs.
- Interpret engineering drawings, take accurate measurements, and adhere to specifications.
- Manage carpenters, fabricators, welders, and general labor workforce.
- Assign daily tasks while monitoring productivity and worker discipline.
- Plan and ensure materials are procured efficiently and waste is minimized.
- Track production schedules to guarantee quality and timely delivery.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and conduct workshop repairs as needed.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for machinery, power tools, and equipment.
- Ensure shop-floor safety standards and maintain cleanliness.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2 to 3 years of practical experience in a manufacturing or workshop setting.
- Preferable exposure to timber/woodworking and metal fabrication processes.
- Proven ability to manage manpower and labor effectively.
- Basic understanding of electrical repairs and machinery upkeep.
- Capability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and manage shop-floor operations.
- Pragmatic, responsible, and competent to independently handle daily workshop activities.
- Educational background including ITI or Diploma is preferred; however, relevant hands-on experience will be considered.
