Workshop Manager

Role Overview

The Workshop Manager will oversee the comprehensive functioning of automobile workshop operations. The person will supervise a team of 25 mechanics and support personnel distributed between the main workshop and satellite sites, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the workshop workforce totalling 25 mechanics and support staff, coordinating their activities across various locations.
• Oversee adherence to warranty protocols by monitoring and documenting all related procedures meticulously.
• Develop and execute the Preventive Maintenance System strategy, delegating tasks appropriately among sections and technicians.
• Engage in hands-on supervision focusing on technical aspects to ensure quality workshop operations.
• Plan and arrange procurement of spare parts needed for specific repair jobs, unique projects, and stock maintenance.
• Keep track of repair job progress and take necessary follow-ups to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to mechanics and support staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure all service records are diligently entered and maintained within the service record database system.
• Maintain overall workshop efficiency by managing manpower, improving service quality and customer satisfaction (NPS), handling complaints, optimizing productivity, coordinating spare parts, driving revenue growth, controlling costs, ensuring process compliance and safety, and keeping transparent reporting.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from 12,000 to 15,000 INR.
