Wiring Technician – Electrical & Networking

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Wiring Technician specialized in electrical and networking installations to join our team in Chandigarh. The role involves interpreting electrical and networking drawings, executing conduit and cabling tasks, and ensuring quality workmanship in commercial or office environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze electrical and networking wiring diagrams and layouts accurately.
• Carry out conduit installation for electrical and networking infrastructure as per project specifications.
• Lay CAT6 cables according to workstation and network point plans.
• Manage cable routing through conduits, ceilings, trays, and designated channels effectively.
• Perform I/O crimping, RJ45 connector crimping, and patch panel/module punching.
• Install and terminate LAN/network points, patch panels, information outlets, and related accessories correctly.
• Follow cable routes outlined in drawings with precision during installation.
• Conduct cable dressing, labeling, testing, and perform basic troubleshooting tasks when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with site engineers and project teams to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Adhere to established quality standards, safety protocols, and ensure workmanship excellence on site.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 1 year to maximum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Educational background preferably includes ITI, Diploma, or relevant technical certifications.
• Familiarity with CAT6 networking cabling and electrical/networking layout comprehension.
• Proven hands-on skills in conduiting, cable laying, RJ45 crimping, and punching on patch panels.
• Knowledge of patch panels, IO modules, racks, and basic networking concepts.
• Willingness to work at various project sites and travel as needed.
• Experience working on commercial or office projects is advantageous.
