About The Grace Westport Estate

The Grace Westport Estate is an upcoming luxury hotel located on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, set to open in Spring 2026. This new establishment combines excellence with unique opportunities to create an exceptional hospitality and wellness experience for guests.

Role Overview

The Wellness Coach position plays a vital role in crafting a premium, outcome-focused wellness journey for visitors and members of the estate. This role involves delivering personalized coaching, leading targeted fitness sessions, and fostering a holistic approach to health and wellbeing across the resort environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform initial fitness consultations, assessments, and goal-setting sessions with individual guests and members.
  • Create, implement, and track customized training programs including strength, conditioning, mobility, and functional fitness.
  • Facilitate small-group exercise classes, wellness workshops, or similar group activities as required.
  • Ensure guests safely and effectively use gym equipment through clear guidance and demonstrations.
  • Consistently provide outstanding guest service aligned with The Grace's wellness and hospitality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented environment in gym, studio, and wellness areas.
  • Greet, welcome, and check in guests and members arriving for fitness and wellness sessions.
  • Manage bookings, scheduling, and maintain detailed client records efficiently.
  • Handle fitness and wellness-related enquiries via phone and email professionally.
  • Process payments and keep accurate administrative records as necessary.
  • Actively promote the resort's wellness services, programs, and retail products to enhance guest experiences.
  • Assist in wellness events, retreats, and promotional activities as part of a collaborative team.
  • Participate in ongoing training to keep certifications and qualifications current and relevant.
  • Contribute positively to a professional, supportive, and team-oriented workplace.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Possession of a recognised personal training certification valid in Ireland, such as Level 3 Gym Instructor and Level 4 Personal Trainer qualifications, or an equivalent credential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a keen focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Capability to motivate and support a diverse clientele across various fitness levels and backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage appointments, programming, and client follow-ups effectively.
  • Approachable, dependable, team-driven, and proactive in enhancing the wellness offering.
  • Knowledge and adherence to health and safety protocols in fitness settings, with a responsible approach to risk management.
  • Legal eligibility to work within Ireland.

Preferred Background and Skills

  • Previous work experience in personal training, fitness instruction, or wellness coaching within high-end gyms, spas, or resort environments.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles emphasizing superior service delivery.
  • Competence in handling reception duties, scheduling, bookings, and client communications.
  • Current certification or willingness to obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid qualifications.
  • A strong passion for health and wellness paired with a commitment to creating outstanding guest experiences.
  • Additional desirable skills include delivering small-group classes or wellness workshops, knowledge in nutrition or lifestyle coaching, and sales experience related to wellness products or programs.
