Job description
About the Company
Alpheya is a B2B WealthTech startup located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, supported by notable investors BNY Mellon and Lunate. Having secured $300 million in funding, the company is dedicated to building an advanced wealth technology platform aimed at empowering financial institutions in the Middle East, particularly banks, to expand their reach and deepen engagement with affluent, high-net-worth (HNW), and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) investors. Operating with the agility and cross-functional collaboration typical of a startup, Alpheya combines deep knowledge from established organizations.
Role Overview
The WealthTech Product Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product strategy of a comprehensive B2B wealth management platform. Key product areas include multi-asset trading, ledger and portfolio management capabilities such as Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM), robo-advisory services, and omnichannel customer journeys spanning web, mobile, and other platforms. This role involves owning the product roadmap, stimulating innovation with a user-focused approach, and collaborating across teams to launch the initial client offering within a year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development cycles using hypothesis-driven iterations to create features that enhance user satisfaction and improve critical financial indicators.
- Maintain a customer-centric perspective by understanding and optimizing the full customer journey, prioritizing initiatives that eliminate user friction particularly for targeted investor segments.
- Integrate AI-driven features natively into product development workflows.
- Establish strong partnerships with design, engineering, data science, and leadership teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment with business goals.
- Leverage data from market research and competition analysis to guide strategic product decisions and pivots.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through delivery, balancing technical feasibility with market demands.
- Deliver cohesive multi-channel product experiences with seamless integration for bank and financial services clients.
- Create and review technical API contracts, collaborating directly on protocols such as REST and FIX to facilitate implementation.
- Set and uphold standards for performance, reliability, security, and data integrity within product specifications.
- Embed AI tools as a regular part of daily workflows.
- Implement metrics and telemetry tracking covering user engagement, system performance, error analysis, and business outcomes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Manager within B2B or B2B2C SaaS fintech, trading platforms, or wealth management sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of wealth and portfolio management domains including DPM, robo-advisory, trading, and ledger services, with the technical skill to navigate solution design choices.
- Practical experience with mobile app development or prototyping that integrates with live APIs.
- Proven background in hypothesis-driven and user-centered product methodologies.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex datasets and derive strategic insights.
- Ownership mindset and a proactive, adaptable attitude suited for fast-moving startup environments.
- Experience facilitating cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineering, design, data science, and executive teams.
- Familiarity with Agile project management and tracking SaaS performance metrics, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in written English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
- Active usage of AI tools (such as Claude or Cursor) integrated into coding and product workflows.
