Warehouse Porter

Overview

The Warehouse Porter is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the warehouse to ensure a hazard-free environment for both customers and employees. This role involves monitoring and managing sanitation and cleaning protocols daily, adhering to HACCP standards, and performing additional assigned duties such as minor maintenance and facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep interior and exterior building areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean and upkeep all restrooms within the facility regularly.
• Wash windows, doors, and coffee area surfaces as required.
• Manage trash containers and operate waste disposal equipment including trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machines.
• Promptly clean up any spills or hazards within the warehouse to prevent accidents.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee break areas in accordance with scheduled intervals.
• Support department managers with aisle cleaning and other area maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and verify sanitation logs consistently.
• Perform other maintenance tasks such as minor paint touchups and lighting maintenance as directed by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Effective communication abilities.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn operation of floor machines, balers, and compactors.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
