Vulnerability Management Engineer

Role Overview and Working Conditions

This role is for a Vulnerability Management Engineer based in Kochi, India, with remote working options. Working hours are scheduled from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, with immediate joining candidates preferred.

Primary Duties

• Conduct routine vulnerability scans and manage endpoint security operations.
• Work under the supervision of an on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Ensure accuracy in scan execution, endpoint visibility, asset data integrity, and consistent operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled vulnerability and discovery scans using Tenable.
• Monitor CrowdStrike Falcon operations to support endpoint security.
• Maintain authenticated scans and comprehensive endpoint coverage.
• Keep updated asset inventories synchronized within Tenable and CrowdStrike platforms.
• Cross-verify endpoint data against client asset sources and escalate unrecognized assets.
• Troubleshoot issues such as scan failures and endpoint agent malfunctions.
• Coordinate with asset owners for remediation efforts and escalate ongoing problems to the SME.
• Document operational procedures, maintain runbooks, and revise recurring task checklists.
• Contribute to the preparation of vulnerability and operational reports.
• Support the overall vulnerability management program, including respecting scanning schedules and service level agreements.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 5 to 6 years of experience in cybersecurity or infrastructure operations.
• Practical expertise with Tenable.
• Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon operations.
• Strong foundation in networking concepts and operating systems.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication and network connectivity challenges.
• Basic proficiency in scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell.
• Exposure to IT service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CEH, or equivalents.
• Experience working with cloud platforms.
• Background in managed services environments.
