SwaVid is seeking a dedicated Video Editor based in Bengaluru for a full-time onsite role specializing in crafting engaging short-form content, particularly Instagram Reels. The ideal candidate will excel in transforming raw footage into captivating videos that maintain viewer retention by leveraging proven hooks, pacing techniques, and editing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop shot plans and concepts by advising on shot types, framing, and necessary b-roll prior to filming.
• Collaborate closely with company founders to structure content emphasizing compelling hooks, coherent narratives, and effective retention methods.
• Edit 9:16 vertical videos optimized for Instagram Reels, incorporating dynamic subtitles with emphasis, color enhancements, and emojis as suitable.
• Apply smooth and impactful transitions along with speed ramps to boost audience engagement.
• Integrate simple motion graphics, overlays, and on-screen textual highlights for key messages.
• Synchronize video cuts to beats, music, and trending elements when appropriate.
• Stay updated with current Instagram Reel trends, hooks, and styles to optimize video performance for watch time, saves, and shares.
