Vehicle Technician (Vans)

About the Role

Our client is a prominent leader in the UK's vehicle hire and fleet management sector. They are expanding and seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to support their nationwide operations. This position emphasizes the upkeep, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, crucial for ensuring the operational reliability and safety of their fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on various vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and conduct thorough inspections.
• Adhere strictly to manufacturer standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Precisely document job cards, service reports, and compliance forms.
• Work effectively to achieve productivity benchmarks and workshop objectives.
• Keep the workplace clean, safe, and orderly at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably hold a Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Demonstrable experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or LCV Technician.
• Proficient in diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience working specifically with vans or commercial vehicles is highly advantageous.
• Possess a full current UK driving licence.
• Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
