Utility Worker - Greenville, MS

Job Overview

This role involves ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of mill equipment and surrounding areas by performing dry cleaning with compressed air and sweeping at scheduled intervals. Accurate completion and maintenance of sanitation logs are essential duties.

Working Hours

Standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with an alternative rotating 12-hour shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., working 4 days on followed by 4 days off. Overtime requirements may include weekends and holidays.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment using dry cleaning methods such as compressed air and sweeping regularly.
• Maintain detailed sanitation records accurately.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Physical Abilities

• Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Proficient English communication skills – reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
• Capable of lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds intermittently throughout the workday.
• Willingness and ability to climb heights up to 30 feet when necessary.
• Physically able to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the shift.
• Adaptable to working in varying temperature conditions, both hot and cold, for long durations.
• Endurance to stand and walk for extended time periods.
• Ability to be trained for safe operation of a man-lift.
• Commitment to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow all safety and food safety regulations strictly.
