Utility Person - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Martin Marietta is looking for a safety-oriented, reliable, and motivated individual to fill the role of Utility Person during the 2nd shift. This role involves cross-functional tasks including plant maintenance, production support, and operation of various equipment. Working hours are from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, including weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on both mobile and stationary plant equipment, including cutting and welding under supervision.
• Perform daily inspections before and after shifts on equipment and maintain detailed maintenance logs.
• Use hand tools and operate machinery such as skid steers and front end loaders to clean plant equipment areas and maintain roads and parking lots.
• Drive a water truck to control dust levels on site.
• Assist in plant operations such as production processes, loading, shipping, and quality checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper traffic flow throughout assigned work areas.
• Safely operate specialized mobile equipment like excavators and haul trucks when required.
• Support the onboarding and training of coworkers as necessary.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience suitable for fulfilling job duties.
• Previous experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
