Job description
Overview
No prior experience is necessary for this opportunity. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to consistent attendance, willingness to follow instructions, and openness to training. Comprehensive paid training will be administered to prepare new hires.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to utility marking requests received via State One Call System on behalf of client utilities.
- Work independently throughout the day, interacting daily with homeowners, excavators, and utility personnel.
- Access and interpret facility records and plans through internet-enabled laptops to accurately mark underground utility locations using specialized locating equipment.
- Document all marking activities properly within the online ticket management platform.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and client regulations.
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation as required.
Work Conditions
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to walk over diverse terrains including roadsides and construction sites.
- Lifting capability of up to 50 pounds occasionally to reach manholes and valve pits.
Work Schedule
Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to approximately 4 PM. Weekend and after-hours shifts will be required as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Acceptable driving record.
- Successful completion of background check prior to employment.
- Passing pre-employment drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy, including navigation within computer file systems.
- Good reading comprehension along with verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines.
- Completion of in-house training program.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranges from $18 to $28 depending on experience.
- Eligibility for Medical and Dental insurance after 90 days for those without prior experience.
- Company vehicle provided for daily use and take-home.
- Bonus program opportunities can add up to $2000 in additional earnings annually.
