About the Role
Join UtiliQuest, LLC as a Utility Locator and gain expertise in identifying underground utility lines by learning safety guidelines and specialized locating techniques. Collaborate with seasoned utility locators, utilize advanced tools, and record precise data to ensure safe and efficient construction operations.
UtiliQuest partners with utility operators across America to prevent infrastructure damage by handling millions of locate requests annually, helping project leaders conduct excavations safely. Responsibilities
- Acquire skills in utility locating methods, safety procedures, and equipment operation
- Gain knowledge about regional utility infrastructure and compliance regulations
- Collaborate with experienced locators to identify and mark subterranean utilities
- Record findings using digital mapping technology
- Operate effectively in various weather conditions
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States for this employer
- Possess a High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or applicable work history
- Hold a valid state driver’s license (no provisional licenses), with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Frequently work individually in remote areas, perform tasks requiring arm elevation above shoulder level, operate vehicles, execute fine motor skills, bend, stoop, stand, walk, and lift items weighing up to 55 pounds, and use computer peripherals
- Occasionally climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and ascend stairs
