- Support comprehensive liquidity planning activities such as projections, capital cycle oversight, repayments, and other treasury functions.
- Maintain strong relationships as the primary contact for banking partners and liquidity providers, facilitating wallet whitelisting and infrastructure changes.
- Track and manage counterparty and settlement risks, promptly escalating issues when detected.
- Perform reconciliations between bank and liquidity-provider statements and internal records, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate documentation of all fund movements.
- Contribute to monthly reporting, close processes, and preparation of treasury dashboards related to liquidity.
- Provide operational support by processing customer refunds, approving funding for expenses and payroll, and addressing urgent liquidity needs.
- Work cross-functionally on liquidity-impacting issues, market launches, and new products with relevant internal teams.
- Enhance operational resilience through process documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-training among treasury members.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5+ years of direct experience in treasury or liquidity operations, preferably within crypto exchanges, stablecoin or fintech firms, banks, or similar sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields. Advanced certifications such as CA(SA), CIMA/CGMA, or CFA are advantageous.
- Proven expertise managing liquidity across different currencies, banks, liquidity providers, including African payment corridors and multi-market environments.
- Hands-on experience with payment systems wiring (wire, ACH, SWIFT) and conducting spot FX or stablecoin trading with liquidity desks.
- Familiarity with crypto custody solutions, settlement systems, and major stablecoin platforms such as USDC and USDT.
- Strong reconciliation skills and meticulous attention to detail to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy.
- Experience with treasury management software or tools that automate reconciliation processes is beneficial.
- Understanding of regulations applicable to crypto-asset service providers is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with finance, compliance, product, engineering teams, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to stay calm, make decisive judgments, and maintain organization when responding to urgent liquidity issues.
- Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership, sound judgment, and high integrity managing significant financial responsibilities independently.
- Availability to work primarily during US business hours to cover off-hours liquidity needs.
Benefits
- Fully remote working arrangement within a global, remote-first organization.
- Opportunity to impact financial inclusion by supporting growth of accessible finance in emerging markets.
- Engagement with a diverse, multinational team spanning over 25 countries.
- Access to professional growth opportunities and resources to enhance skills and career progression.
- Provision of mental health support to ensure employee well-being.
- Competitive salary package commensurate with responsibilities.
- Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
- Stock options available for full-time employees.
