About the Role

Jewson, a prominent building materials supplier in Northern Europe and part of Stark UK, values its people as its greatest asset. We are currently seeking a dedicated Tool Hire Assistant based in Barnstaple to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily tool hire tasks ensuring resources are efficiently deployed for safe and effective operations.
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships through regular interactions, promoting team growth by proactively cross-selling products.
  • Handle timely delivery and collection of customer orders, verifying order accuracy and safe handling of equipment per company guidelines.
  • Assist branch team members in developing expertise in tool hire products.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections to confirm tools and machines are clean, safe, and fully functional.
  • Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Inspect, test, and execute minor repairs on various tools and small machinery such as breakers, saws, mixers, and access equipment.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with shifts from Monday to Friday, either 07:00-16:30 or 07:30-17:00. Additionally, work is required every other Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00.
