Role Overview
The Busselton Salvos Corps functions as a Christian Church committed to community care, faith development, and social justice. The Thrift Shop Manager will oversee the Busselton store, managing operations to optimize sales and produce revenue to support our Corps activities. This full-time role reports to the Corps Officers and is located in Busselton, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance sales and revenue through effective processing of donations, including receipt, sorting, pricing, and display of merchandise, while responsibly disposing of unsaleable stock.
- Maintain ideal inventory levels by managing stock rotation and mannequins to maximize sales potential.
- Ensure the store environment remains attractive and welcoming by adhering to display standards and clear signage guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer needs, training staff on best practices, and fostering connections to The Salvation Army's mission.
- Drive retail sales internally and externally by developing and executing promotional activities within the shop.
- Recruit, guide, and supervise volunteers, employees, and Day Supervisors to guarantee smooth daily operations.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Background in retail or customer service roles.
- Prior experience in retail management is preferred.
- Proven capability in cash management, financial oversight, and team leadership.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence.
- Successful completion of a National Police Record Check is mandatory.
