About the Role

The Test and Run Technician position is based on-site in Poole, operating Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, totaling 42 hours weekly. This role commands a salary of £29,572 per year pro-rata.
In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for conducting fundamental electrical and functional tests, along with servicing and cleaning returned hire products to guarantee their safety and presentable condition before they are rented out again.
This position serves as an excellent foundation to advance your engineering career within Speedy, with access to award-winning, in-house training programs to facilitate your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out basic electrical testing on equipment operating at 12/24 volts
- Performing basic mechanical maintenance and proficient use of tools
- Cleaning and servicing returned hire items to maintain safety and appearance
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing
- Supporting your team to align with and help deliver Speedy’s ESG Strategy, Decade to Deliver
Required Skills and Experience
- Fundamental electrical knowledge involving low voltage systems (12/24 volts)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort in handling repair tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the hire industry or engineering sectors is preferred but not mandatory
