About the Role
ConsultANZ is seeking an accomplished Temporary Works Coordinator to join a leading civil contractor handling major infrastructure projects in Auckland. This permanent full-time role offers a chance for a technically adept engineer to oversee coordination of temporary works design and implementation across multifaceted projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate coordination between project teams and internal/external designers regarding temporary works requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers and site personnel to prepare clear and accurate temporary works briefs that meet project needs.
- Engage with temporary works designers to confirm designs are practical, constructible, and meet intended purposes.
- Manage and monitor temporary works designs to ensure timely delivery.
- Prioritize design activities based on project sequencing and construction demands.
- Assess designs relative to project specifications and handle technical queries, revisions, and amendments.
- Work closely with teams to identify temporary works needs early during construction phases.
- Ensure integration of temporary works designs with construction methods and overall project delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience in roles such as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Structural Engineer, Temporary Works Engineer, or Temporary Works Coordinator.
- Demonstrate a strong technical foundation in structures, bridges, heavy civil construction, or temporary works.
- Experience with temporary works design, construction methodologies, or structural engineering is essential.
- Deep understanding of constructability and site operational demands.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills enabling effective work between site teams and design professionals.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple design demands and competing priorities.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with advanced technical problem-solving skills.
