Job description
Overview
BioMax Safety & Security Systems Pvt. Ltd., based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide support for their Attendance Management Software. The role involves installing software, troubleshooting bugs, and assisting with SQL Server, IIS, APIs, and networking issues. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and customer-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
- Support customers through phone calls, emails, and remote tools.
- Install, configure, and maintain attendance software, applications, and devices.
- Identify and fix installation problems and runtime errors.
- Manage SQL Server tasks including database setup, queries, backups, and restores.
- Configure IIS hosting, websites, and application pools.
- Analyze logs, SQL error messages, and API responses to diagnose problems.
- Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve advanced technical issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation, support tickets, and reports.
- Install and configure BioMax biometric attendance and access control systems on-site and remotely as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including IP addresses, ports, LAN/WAN, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of REST APIs with an understanding of HTTP methods and status codes.
- Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server database management.
- Ability to configure and manage Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Strong communication skills, troubleshooting aptitude, and customer service orientation.
- Educational background in BSc IT, BSc Cyber Security, BCA, or Diploma in Computer Engineering.

Experience Required: 1 to 3 years (freshers with strong technical fundamentals may also apply)

Salary Range: INR 15000 to 19000 per month
