Job description

Role Overview

The Platform team at Taktile provides essential infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and developer experience across the company. As a Technical Program Manager, you will orchestrate complex, cross-departmental programs by developing detailed plans with designated owners, timelines, and measurable milestones. You will collaborate closely with engineers, engineering managers, product teams, security, sales, and legal to drive enterprise readiness and lead audit and compliance initiatives. The role emphasizes clear written communication, minimal meetings, and decisive accountability management with senior technical staff. A strong technical background enables you to effectively challenge engineering decisions and successfully guide ambiguous, high-impact projects from inception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end program execution simultaneously across 3 to 5 cross-functional projects.
  • Lead the enterprise readiness efforts involving feature development, certifications, and contract negotiations across Platform, Product, and Sales teams.
  • Coordinate security-related programs including audit preparation, risk reduction, and customer security questionnaires.
  • Oversee the rollout of AI enablement initiatives in partnership with the AI Tooling Engineering team.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years as a Technical Program Manager within SaaS, handling complex programs spanning multiple teams from planning through delivery.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive collaborative programs involving engineering, product, and go-to-market teams, while effectively holding senior individual contributors and engineering managers accountable without direct authority.
  • Experience leading enterprise readiness programs by organizing features, certifications, and contracts essential for securing enterprise deals in close collaboration with Product, Sales, and Legal departments.
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud-native platforms, including the ability to comprehend architecture and design documents, evaluate AWS infrastructure, CI/CD processes, microservices, APIs, and reliability SLOs, and make informed trade-off decisions.
  • Proven ownership of developer experience or platform initiatives with quantifiable outcomes such as reduced CI/build times, increased deployment frequency, or improved DORA metrics encompassing lead time and change-failure rates across several teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in financial technology or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Experience managing audit preparation programs like SOC 2 or ISO.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Linear, Notion, and Slack used in daily operations.
