Technical Product Owner

About the Role

Join a leading AI-native wealth management and trading platform based in Abu Dhabi, serving key banking institutions across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In this highly technical and hands-on product position, you'll operate at the intersection of product strategy, engineering, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product briefs from identifying business challenges through to final delivery.
• Convert business needs into detailed, technically sound specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Engage directly with REST APIs, integration protocols, and FIX protocol documentation to ensure solid product foundations.
• Specify API contracts, including error handling, version control, and integration requirements.
• Design comprehensive user experiences covering success, failure, timeout, and asynchronous processing flows.
• Lead development of real-time and asynchronous system interactions, such as notifications and transaction tracking.
• Set and enforce non-functional requirements relating to performance, security, reliability, and data quality.
• Create and prototype mobile applications using live API integrations.
• Incorporate AI-driven development assistants like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot into daily workflows.
• Own product backlog management, prioritization, sprint execution, and release quality.
• Define and monitor telemetry, product metrics, and system performance indicators.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated background as a Technical Product Owner or Product Manager within fintech, banking, trading, or wealth management sectors.
• Experience managing B2B or B2B2C product lines.
• Profound understanding of REST APIs and their integrations.
• Preferably experienced with FIX protocol or capital market technologies.
• Proven capabilities in shipping integration-focused, client-facing products.
• Hands-on proficiency in designing or prototyping mobile apps interacting with real APIs.
• Strong expertise in API design fundamentals including contracts, versioning, and error control mechanisms.
• Familiarity with asynchronous and real-time product features.
• Regular use of AI-powered coding and productivity tools within the product development cycle.
