Technical Content Creator - Pear/Bare/P2P

About the Role

This opportunity is for a Technical Content Creator focusing on decentralized, peer-to-peer (P2P) infrastructure technologies such as Pear and Bare. Based in the United Arab Emirates but fully remote, this position requires combining advanced software development skills with technical storytelling and high-quality video production aimed at developers and engineers. The role involves building working prototypes, crafting detailed tutorials, and producing clear, engaging video content that explains complex P2P protocols and decentralized application architectures.

Key Duties

• Independently create P2P applications and infrastructure prototypes using Pear and Bare technologies.
• Develop functional demos such as P2P chat systems, file synchronization tools, and data replication models illustrating decentralized concepts.
• Produce polished screen recordings and video walkthroughs covering implementation specifics including peer discovery and synchronization.
• Translate advanced protocol advancements, cryptographic methods, and runtime features into accessible developer-oriented content.
• Deliver code-along videos, tutorials, sample projects, and interactive repositories to facilitate practical learning.
• Collaborate with protocol and product engineering teams to stay updated on feature developments and maintain content accuracy.
• Experiment rapidly with prototypes demonstrating serverless, resilient P2P applications.
• Partner with technical influencers and developer advocates by offering reusable demos, code assets, and co-created programming challenges.
• Continuously find and produce compelling technical stories to boost developer engagement within the ecosystem.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 6+ years in roles such as technical content creation, backend or systems engineering, or solutions engineering.
• Proficient in programming languages like Node.js, C, or C++ with strong understanding of networking and runtime systems.
• Deep knowledge of peer-to-peer networking, distributed systems, decentralized architectures, and Hypercore or append-only log data structures.
• Ability to independently handle technical infrastructure exploration, prototype building, troubleshooting, and turning experiments into reliable demos.
• Experience crafting professional technical screen recordings and developer tutorials using tools such as Loom, Camtasia, or ScreenFlow.
• Excellent technical writing and storytelling skills to clarify complex engineering topics without oversimplification.
• Developer empathy and insight into motivations behind adopting new technologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when interfacing with engineering and developer-related teams.
• Self-motivated and able to manage work autonomously across distributed and remote time zones.
• Genuine enthusiasm for decentralized infrastructure, cryptography, distributed systems, and P2P technologies.
