Job description
Role Overview
The Team Leader plays a pivotal role within the management team by assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing everyday store activities efficiently.
Key Duties
- Directing and overseeing store staff by offering guidance and support.
- Handling store merchandising tasks including shelf stocking and managing incoming shipments by boxing and unboxing products.
- Ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service standards consistently.
- Carrying out manager-on-duty responsibilities such as monitoring breaks, timekeeping, and attendance management.
- Applying and upholding visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
- Addressing and resolving customer complaints promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining safety protocols and cleanliness within the store premises.
- Managing cash handling processes and performing opening and closing store procedures as required.
- Engaging in inventory management activities and assisting with training new staff members.
- Following up on delegated assignments and contributing to recruitment efforts and employee performance evaluations.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of retail work experience.
- Between one to two years in a supervisory capacity.
- A strong desire to advance within the company.
- Flexible availability across days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Capability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
