Overview
As an integral member of the management team, the Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in supervising day-to-day activities within the retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead store associates, offering guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage store merchandising including shelving products and handling shipment unpacking and packaging.
- Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the store.
- Carry out manager-on-duty responsibilities such as overseeing breaks, timekeeping, and attendance monitoring.
- Implement and uphold visual merchandising standards within the store.
- Respond to and resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction.
- Ensure the store adheres to safety and cleanliness guidelines.
- Handle cash management duties along with store opening and closing processes as required.
- Participate actively in inventory management and contribute to employee training initiatives.
- Follow up on delegated assignments and support activities related to recruitment and performance management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of one year experience in retail environments.
- One to two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership capabilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ambition to advance within the organization.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a busy setting.
