Job description
About the Role
Alt India is rapidly expanding its counseling team from 10 to over 77 across six university partnerships in the coming months. We are seeking a talented individual to fully own and operate our hiring processes, not merely filling vacancies but building robust recruitment systems. This role offers the chance to work closely with the founder and directly observe the impact of your efforts each week.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle, including lead sourcing via platforms like LinkedIn, Meta, WorkIndia, Apna, and Fresherworld, candidate qualification, course-based screening, assessments, and final offers.
- Oversee candidate progression through pre-hire courses and assessments using an LMS platform, scenario-based tests, and recorded mock interviews.
- Facilitate scheduling and coordination of the founder's final interview rounds.
- Handle offer issuance, documentation collection, candidate follow-ups, and tracking candidate response metrics.
- Create and maintain detailed recruitment dashboards capturing lead sources, conversion rates, attrition points, and cost per hire.
- Collaborate with job portals and automate candidate communication using tools like AiSensy/WATI to ensure timely responsiveness.
- Manage HR administration including preparation of offer and appointment letters, onboarding paperwork, attendance, leave tracking, and basic statutory compliance in partnership with consultants.
- Conduct exit formalities and related documentation processes.
- Monitor employee turnover and identify early attrition trends.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for the first 90 days alongside the buddy system and organize team culture initiatives to foster a positive office environment.
Requirements
- Two to four years of substantial experience in high-volume recruitment, particularly in sectors like BPO, retail, telecalling, or similar entry-level bulk hiring environments.
- Proven ability to independently manage recruitment operations with minimal supervision, demonstrating full ownership from the outset.
- Demonstrable success with quantifiable hiring metrics including volume and timeframes.
- Strong proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Fluency in Kannada preferred for Bangalore-based recruitment; knowledge of additional regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, or Hindi is advantageous.
Why Join Us
- Direct interaction with the company founder, ensuring your voice influences key decisions.
- Clear career progression with opportunities to advance to an HR Manager position as the team expands.
- Chance to build recruitment systems for a rapidly scaling organization rather than maintaining established processes.
