Position Overview
Join Deloitte's AI team as a Systems/DevOps Engineer, taking charge of developing and operating platforms that support the company's AI-driven products and services. This role features a hands-on approach involving cloud environments, Kubernetes orchestration, and automation of deployments, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, reliability, and digital innovation.
Typical Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance infrastructure crucial for AI solutions, emphasizing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Manage cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform, optimizing Kubernetes workloads and leveraging Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform.
- Utilize automation tools including GitHub, Azure DevOps (ADO), and ArgoCD to ensure dependable and consistent software delivery.
- Ensure system performance, stability, security, and compliance through monitoring, downtime reduction, and managing sensitive credentials and DevSecOps measures.
- Collaborate extensively with development, QA, and operations teams to address deployment challenges and streamline release workflows.
Team Context
The role is embedded within Deloitte's National Generative AI and Assets team, part of the Strategy, Transformation & Innovation office. The team combines AI, design, and software engineering to develop transformative business solutions that enhance efficiency and decision-making through AI-led digital innovations.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years' experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in managing and building Kubernetes workloads at scale.
- Experienced with cloud infrastructures like Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and ArgoCD.
- Skilled in writing Infrastructure as Code, especially with Terraform.
- Well-versed in Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, database management, messaging systems, and security practices.
- Adept at scripting for automation in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Beneficial to have exposure to security protocols such as OAuth, SAML, or OpenID Connect, alongside experience in mature managed services setups.
