Role Overview

This full-time Support Worker position, based on-site in the Greater Cheshire West and Chester region, involves delivering day-to-day assistance to individuals. Responsibilities include supporting personal care, daily activities, and encouraging participation in community life while promoting independence and ensuring safety and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual-focused support for personal care and daily living activities.
• Encourage and promote clients' independence and community involvement.
• Maintain safety and follow safeguarding procedures rigorously.
• Adhere strictly to care plans and protocols.
• Document observations and incident reports accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals to deliver consistent support.
• Offer basic technical assistance related to assistive devices or digital tools utilized in care settings.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish positive relationships and support effectively.
• Experience or relevant skills in support work, including community or residential care settings.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practices within social care environments.
• Basic technical competency in assistive technology and digital recording systems used in care.
• Possession or pursuit of qualifications such as NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care.
• Prior experience in social care, disability support, or mental health services is advantageous.
• Flexibility in work approach, with the ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS check.
