Supervisor - Stewards

Role Overview

This position is based at Delta Hotels and Resorts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves supervising and supporting Stewards to ensure efficient cleaning operations, adherence to safety standards, and smooth kitchen support, particularly in banquet and buffet settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and aid Stewards to optimize cleaning workflows.
• Monitor and document water temperatures and chemical levels for cleaning processes.
• Assist with banquet plate preparation and support kitchen staff with various duties.
• Provide necessary items to cooks and maintain stock levels for banquets and buffets.
• Operate and maintain cleaning tools and equipment including dishwashers, pot scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Help management with staffing functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Uphold all safety and security protocols, report incidents, and complete safety certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary company information.
• Ensure welcoming and professional guest interactions according to company standards.
• Support team collaboration and work towards shared objectives.
• Comply with quality standards consistently.
• Physically capable of moving loads up to 50 pounds and performing tasks involving prolonged standing, reaching, bending, and navigating varied surfaces.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
