About the Role

Join Babcock International Group as a Storekeeper based at Bovington Camp near Wareham, Dorset. This full-time, permanent position supports critical defence activities by overseeing the smooth flow, storage, and control of equipment and materials essential for military training and operations readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage receipt, issuance, return, and transfer of goods, equipment, and materials efficiently.
  • Keep accurate inventory using specialized IT systems and manual record-keeping methods.
  • Perform stock counts and place orders to maintain operational availability of supplies.
  • Operate forklifts and authorised company vehicles, including Land Rovers.
  • Maintain strict housekeeping standards, security protocols, and safe handling practices for both company and client assets.

Working Conditions

The position is onsite at Bovington Camp, working Monday through Friday, 38 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays. On-call duties, overtime, and occasional weekend work may be required.

Candidate Experience and Skills

  • Experience in stores, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management environments.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving licence.
  • Proficiency in IT including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Good comprehension of workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Eligibility

No formal fixed educational background is mandated; however, suitable experience or eagerness to learn is essential. Candidates must be able to obtain and uphold Security Check (SC) clearance. Note that roles are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control limitations which consider factors such as birth, nationality, citizenship, and residency history.
