Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Steel Structure Engineer to join our expanding team located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position involves designing, analyzing, and supervising the construction of steel frameworks across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate steel structural designs utilizing advanced CAD and structural analysis software conforming to relevant codes and standards.
• Create comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation necessary for fabrication and installation processes.
• Execute structural calculations and finite element analyses to enhance design safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to achieve cost-effective solutions and maintain project schedules.
• Assess fabrication and shop drawings from contractors to guarantee compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance during steel fabrication and erection phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues employing innovative and analytical engineering techniques.
• Maintain organized project documentation and ensure transparent communication among all stakeholders.
• Keep updated on industry standards, building codes, and best practices related to steel structure engineering.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and project proposals when required.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in steel structural design and engineering.
• Proficiency in structural analysis programs such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or alternatives.
• In-depth knowledge of steel design codes and international construction standards.
• Experienced with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD or comparable tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of steel fabrication techniques and construction processes.
• Ability to prepare precise technical drawings and related documentation.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Awareness of construction safety standards and quality assurance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and methodologies.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian building regulations and local compliance requirements.
• Background in managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
• Skill in coordinating design, fabrication, and construction teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with cost estimation and value engineering in structural design contexts.
