Job description
Key Responsibilities
The Staff Surveyor is responsible for precise measurement of overburden and coal removal every month using advanced instruments and software, aiding the mining stockyard quantity survey. They conduct regular and weekly surveys including shovel and dragline cut surveys, coal stock and quarry surveys, blast inventory monitoring, dump and haul road assessments, and daily contractual cut surveys to maintain accurate records of mining operations.
Overburden Related Duties
Support the team in surveying activities utilizing 3D scanning technology to oversee dragline operations, calculate overburden and coal production volumes with high accuracy, ensuring reliable data collection and analysis.Compliance and Documentation
Assist in preparing and maintaining all mandatory statutory plans and records required under Coal Mining Regulations (CMR) to ensure adherence to legal standards.Additional Responsibilities
Provide necessary support in creating monthly working plans, perform layout checks, verify contractual and departmental dumping profiles, and monitor deviations from approved drawings as assigned by the surveyor in-charge or the colliery manager.Industry
