Speech and Language Therapist

About the Role

Momenta Connect is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join the clinical team at Longdon Hall School in Staffordshire, supporting children and young people aged 7 to 18. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with flexible term-time arrangements possible based on personal circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide personalized speech and language therapy assessments and interventions focused on pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary educational team, the therapist will manage a caseload and deliver evidence-based clinical practices aligned with professional standards.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience engaging with individuals exhibiting complex communication profiles.
• Familiarity with neurodiversity and trauma-informed care.
• Multi-disciplinary teamwork experience in varied settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families and carers.
• Skilled in applying SaLT assessment tools, intervention planning, and adhering to RCSLT Communication Standards.
• Driving license with access to a vehicle.

Desirable Attributes

• Knowledge of sensory and motor differences impacting communication.
• Understanding of arousal levels in communication.
