Role Overview
As a Solutions Engineer in our Professional Services team, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and implementation of LogicMonitor solutions for new and existing customers. Collaborating closely with Customer Success Management, Tech Support, and Training teams, you will help customers adopt best practices, devise optimal configurations aligned with their business needs, and enhance their overall IT monitoring strategies. You will also act as a key liaison to provide feedback and insights to our product and development groups.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of LogicMonitor solutions, ensuring smooth deployments at varying scales.
- Work collaboratively with Professional Services Project Managers and Customer Success Managers to effectively initiate projects and manage handoffs.
- Conduct remote and on-site workshops for discovery, design, and deployment to accelerate product adoption by customers.
- Advocate and implement best practice configurations to optimize customer LogicMonitor setups.
- Utilize REST APIs and scripting to automate repetitive and bulk operational tasks, improving efficiency.
- Identify product gaps, feature requests, and issues, escalating valuable feedback to Product and Development teams.
- Develop custom scripted solutions and integrations leveraging LogicMonitor features like Websites, LogicModules, and NetScans.
- Share technical expertise and best practices within the team and with customers, serving as a subject matter expert.
- Support Monitoring Engineering occasionally in LogicModule development and assist Sales/Customer Success teams in closing deals or customer retention efforts.
- Continuously update your knowledge of new product functionalities, enhancements, and industry best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 to 4 years of experience in IT roles or software engineering.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT operations including system administration, network engineering, or DevOps.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical scripting or programming experience in Python, PowerShell, Java, or Groovy.
- Expertise in one or more IT domains such as Windows/Linux servers, networking, security, storage, virtualization, or public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTTP, JSON, Regular Expressions, and REST API usage.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% of the time.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to boost productivity, enhance innovation, or solve problems is also valued.
