Role Overview and Impact

As a Solutions Consultant, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner collaborating closely with our sales team to craft customized solutions for accounting practice partners. Your role involves translating intricate partner needs into scalable workflow strategies, identifying risks early, and enabling client firms to realize the full long-term benefits of the Xero platform.

By merging comprehensive accounting expertise with consultative technical skills, you will lead solution definition, conduct personalized product demonstrations, and support partners throughout smooth migration processes. Your contribution will be vital in driving software adoption and turning accountants and bookkeepers into enthusiastic, committed advocates.

Team and Collaboration

You will be part of a cooperative team of five members reporting to the Partner Consulting Manager. This team acts as a crucial link between account executives, product engineering, and external practice partners. Together, you will exchange market feedback internally to influence product development and co-create individualized technical strategies to foster client growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Leading technical discovery and customized solution design in partnership with Account Executives.
• Creating and delivering engaging, tailored product demonstrations that address unique firm workflow issues.
• Assisting new practice partners through cloud implementations, workflow documentation, and early adoption training.
• Offering expert technical assistance during sales processes to resolve operational issues and objections.

Work Location and Flexibility

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Hands-on operational experience directly within accounting or bookkeeping practice settings.
• Proven aptitude in consultative problem-solving, pre-sales, or complex technical solution design.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex ideas simply and deliver engaging presentations to varied audiences.
• Strong knowledge of cloud accounting platforms and related practice workflow software ecosystems.
• Comfort and practical use of modern productivity tools, including AI technologies, to develop efficient solutions.
• Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
