Role Overview
As part of the Transaction Platform team, you will oversee the entire transaction lifecycle for merchant partners, managing features vital to millions of users. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will lead a team of over 10 engineers focused on creating reliable and scalable systems. The position requires balancing hands-on technical leadership with mentoring responsibilities, aiming to influence the platform's technical direction. This role is located onsite in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build highly dependable, scalable services for the Transaction Platform, evaluating and enhancing technology stacks to boost performance and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, analytics, and data science leaders to develop product roadmaps, define merchant-oriented metrics, and plan experiments.
- Define and implement the team's engineering strategy while mentoring engineers across experience levels and expanding your leadership footprint.
- Conduct design and code reviews to uphold quality and standards in development.
- Participate in recruitment efforts to attract and hire skilled engineers into the team.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in software engineering within distributed systems, with proven expertise in designing and deploying large-scale, highly available online services.
- A minimum of 2 years as an engineering manager, actively involved in technical solution design.
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency and innovation.
- Strong foundation in computer science, particularly algorithms, data structures, system performance, and scaling.
- A formal degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and willingness to use Golang.
