Job description
Position Overview
This role offers an opportunity as an Open Source Contributor under a contractual agreement, providing remote work flexibility with compensation ranging between $50 to $100 per hour. Candidates can commit between 10 to 40 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality code, conduct peer reviews, and develop comprehensive documentation for open-source projects.
- Design and develop sophisticated algorithms and system components to improve codebase efficiency.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems, including performance issues and bugs.
- Work collaboratively with fellow contributors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Create and update documentation to facilitate effective knowledge sharing.
- Engage actively in code discussions and offer constructive critiques.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of contributing to open-source projects with verifiable profiles on platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages including C++, Python, Java, GoLang, TypeScript, or Rust.
- Experience handling large-scale and distributed codebases is advantageous.
- Knowledge of contemporary artificial intelligence or machine learning systems is considered a plus.
