Position Overview
As a Software Engineer in the Backend Engineering squad, you will deliver robust, scalable solutions using technologies like Node.js, TypeScript, Google Cloud Platform, and PostgreSQL. Your contributions will directly impact thousands of users across the UK, supporting their investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software on schedule, addressing complex challenges with multiple potential solutions, carefully balancing trade-offs to guide your team in technical decisions.
- Provide scalable and maintainable solutions efficiently, resolving technical issues effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand key features and performance indicators of your product.
- Participate actively in on-call rotations, responding promptly to urgent issues and escalating when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- A collaborative mindset, sharing knowledge and embracing joint responsibility for design choices.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and welcome as well as offer constructive critique.
- Adept at solving complex, unfamiliar problems independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and a sincere interest in investment sectors.
- Stay updated on modern technologies and incorporate best engineering practices consistently.
