Role Overview
Join our Kit Manager team as a Software Engineer responsible for architecting and developing scalable private cloud systems to manage PlayStation Development Kits. You will also build APIs and services integral to the PlayStation® SDK ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive complete feature development lifecycle from analyzing requirements and designing to implementation and verification.
- Debug and resolve issues in both existing and new codebases efficiently.
- Collaborate across teams in an agile setting during requirements gathering and architectural planning.
- Engage in rigorous code reviews to uphold superior engineering standards.
- Participate in occasional in-person workshops and team gatherings; some travel required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience creating software with Rust in commercial or open-source environments, with deep knowledge of Rust’s ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, error handling, and asynchronous programming (using Tokio).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A passion for creating user-centric products emphasizing excellent developer experience and workflows.
- Proven commercial development experience in modern C++.
- Solid grasp of concurrency, multithreaded programming, and contemporary software design principles.
- Experience writing automated tests and implementing modern software testing methodologies.
- Proficiency with Git or distributed version control systems.
Desirable Skills
- Development experience across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational database systems.
- API development skills with gRPC and/or REST.
- Experience with deploying and managing software on Kubernetes and/or AWS.
- Knowledge of container technologies like Docker or Podman.
- Experience building user interfaces using React.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated base salary range for this position in Dublin is €69,500 to €104,300 annually. Compensation is determined based on factors including location, skills, experience, and knowledge according to our hybrid work policy.
