About LaunchPad

LaunchPad is GovTech's innovation platform used government-wide, which allows public officers to submit ideas, form teams, and advance initiatives from concept to incubation. Supporting over 80 agencies, it integrates AI features such as idea matching and innovation triage. LaunchPad 2.0 is an evolution featuring a headless CMS, multi-agent AI, and scalable cloud infrastructure, with engineers owning vital components of the system.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop LaunchPad 2.0 as a comprehensive full-stack platform enabling innovation across the government.
• Take ownership of critical subsystems, including data models, APIs, user experiences, and releases.
• Modernize the platform architecture using technologies like Directus CMS, AWS/Northflank, and scalable cloud services.
• Create intelligent AI-driven features such as advanced search, recommendations, and automated workflows.
• Make influential technical decisions that balance agility, scalability, and security in production.
• Maintain high standards in engineering through quality, reliability, and improved developer experience.
• Rapidly prototype innovative solutions leveraging AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and multi-agent systems.
• Develop and deploy solutions arising from hackathons, incubators, and pilot teams, directly benefiting government agencies.
• Collaborate closely with product leaders and agencies to address real public sector problems via technology.
• Experiment, learn, and iterate swiftly using sandbox environments and user feedback to refine impactful solutions.
• Ensure code quality through testing, monitoring, and reliable software releases.
• Contribute to developer tooling, peer code reviews, and team-building practices.

Candidate Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript/React (Next.js) and Python (FastAPI), with experience developing AI-integrated solutions like Claude Code.
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB and delivering full-stack features.
• Experience building and evaluating outputs of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Capability to document system designs and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Preferred experience with headless CMS platforms, GovTech systems, or agent-based architectures.
• Background in agile methodologies, innersourcing, or open-source project collaboration is advantageous.
