Social Care Worker

Role Summary

The Social Care Worker is entrusted with supporting elderly residents within a care home environment. This role involves leading a team dedicated to assisting vulnerable adults in a residential setting. There is an opening for one individual to join a proactive team providing day and overnight care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications accurately.
• Assume duties as a key worker for assigned service users.
• Support reablement plans tailored for service users.
• Participate in planning, monitoring, and documenting service delivery.
• Serve as shift lead when needed, overseeing overall management of the care home temporarily.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess at least an SVQ level 2 qualification in Social Care or an equivalent credential necessary for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Demonstrate commitment to attaining SVQ level 3 in Social Care.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities as well as ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capacity to manage unpredictable situations constructively and maintain composure under pressure.
