About the Team
The Corporate Information System (CIS) at ByteDance is dedicated to developing advanced information systems that facilitate efficient and sustainable operations across the company's extensive business landscape. CIS supports various departments including human resources, finance, legal, procurement, approvals, and workplace management, all while prioritizing security, privacy, and compliance. Innovations in artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) are also progressively integrated.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the compliance data center's lifecycle with an emphasis on cost efficiency, operational stability, and performance improvements.
- Ensure the reliability and uptime of ByteDance's compliance data center and oversee the service level agreements for core PnS products involved.
- Contribute to the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of stability-focused products improving efficiency and system resilience.
- Analyze existing system architecture, identify risks, and develop or advocate for mitigations to reduce architectural vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting systems, contingency plans, and conduct drills and incident reviews to strengthen operational stability.
- Embrace architectural best practices and emerging technologies to continuously refine maintenance procedures, emergency response plans, and overall service quality.
Candidate Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge in computer software concepts, with a solid understanding of Linux OS, storage solutions, and network input/output principles.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving challenges in distributed computing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong product intuition and expertise in system design.
- Structured and logical approach to problem-solving coupled with a high degree of accountability.
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS domains is an advantage.
