Role Overview

As a Shift Leader, you will play a pivotal role in bringing Panda Restaurant Group's mission to life by supporting management in crafting food with passion, delivering heartfelt service, and maintaining a proud and inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a lively and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Manage store operations and lead the team during assigned shifts.
  • Engage in cooking and preparation of Panda's popular menu items.
  • Develop diverse skills to support personal growth and assist in developing others.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Some high school education completed.
  • Preferably some experience in operations.
  • Must obtain and maintain any local food safety certifications (e.g., Food Handler certification) at your own expense.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Workspaces often include hot areas with steam and food vapors. Employees typically stand for prolonged periods, prepare both hot and cold foods quickly and accurately, use kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives, and must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. The environment is fast-paced, noisy, and storage space limited, requiring good verbal communication skills, adaptability to shifting priorities, and ability to handle difficult situations.
