About the Role

The Shift Leader plays a critical role in overseeing shifts and workstations within a Papa John’s restaurant, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and excellent customer service, which in turn supports the profitability of the restaurant. This position encompasses managing operational tasks while adhering strictly to Company policies and legal regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow established procedures for dough handling, product accuracy, and portion control at assigned stations, maintaining product quality and timing requirements.
- Consistently support the achievement of product quality goals by minimizing customer complaints and attentively responding to customer needs.
- Uphold and model company core values, maintain a positive team attitude, demonstrate flexibility, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Ensure adequate employee staffing for shifts, provide immediate feedback to resolve issues, and maintain high standards for product quality, customer service, and operational performance metrics such as food/labor costs and cleanliness.
- Contribute to company profitability by managing expenses within guidelines, accurately performing cash handling tasks, and assisting with inventory control using company systems to reduce losses.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred High School diploma or GED.
- Food safety certification such as Serv-Safe or applicable local/state certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a shift leader in a restaurant setting is advantageous.
- Demonstrated stable and successful employment history.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work at least 32 hours per week including nights, weekends, and unscheduled/emergency shifts.
- Capability to perform job duties across all restaurant positions.
