Role Overview
The Service Project Manager oversees the implementation of service orders related to the compression fleet within a designated country. This role encompasses planning, organizing, supervising, and steering resources and processes to meet project objectives pertaining to scope, timing, quality, and budget parameters. Managing the backlog of service orders, liaising with customers throughout execution, and representing Compression Service externally to clients are vital components of this position. The role aims to foster revenue enhancement, operational excellence, and heightened customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver execution of compression service orders including Parts, Repairs, Field Service, Long Term Projects (LTPs), Modifications & Upgrades (Mods&Ups) ranging from PM 80 to PM 700 and complete outage projects.
- Serve as the primary customer contact during order execution, embodying the customer voice within the organization and enhancing customer interaction for all service offerings regionally through proactive and early communication concerning any issues.
- Coordinate and organize teams, assign individual tasks, prepare project/program timelines, and assess resource requirements to meet specific challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Technical Support, Engineering, Product Competency Centers, and Sales to resolve technical queries and delivery challenges.
- Track KPIs to evaluate the success of service business outputs, drive achievement of revenue, EBIT, on-time delivery, and budget adherence, and promote customer satisfaction while managing claims and cash collection objectives; monitor Net Promoter Score (NPS) on execution.
- Support finance with accurate delivery forecasts ensuring revenue and cash flow targets are attained, coordinating order execution with regional Parts Execution teams and global project management based on the Compression factories worldwide.
- Provide clear progress and status reports to management and customers per contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with Gas and Steam Turbine project managers for major works like full train outages and LTPs, implementing preventive actions to capitalize opportunities and reduce risks while communicating issues early.
- Coordinate globally and regionally with Field Service teams to assure outage planning, staffing sufficiency, and timely reporting.
- Maintain accurate, compliant project documentation up to date according to quality standards, extending management responsibilities to Middle Eastern regions as necessary.
- Adhere to Siemens Energy’s Compliance, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality policies and standards.
- Required travel estimated at 20-30% domestically and internationally.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Between 3 to 5 years of proven project management experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector or with rotating equipment within a service-driven organization.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities with experience in crafting and executing strategic plans.
- Solid computer skills, competent in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledgeable in project management/order management tools.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to be a collaborative team member capable of problem solving under constraints with a constructive mindset and flexibility.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software like Salesforce and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, notably SAP, is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional regional languages is beneficial.
