Role Overview
The Service Leader plays a vital role in delivering a positive dining experience by ensuring the preparation and service of safe, high-quality food. This position requires active engagement throughout shifts, including assisting teammates and performing tasks proactively when workload allows. The Service Leader also oversees crew training, performance, adherence to safety standards, and restaurant organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to Chipotle’s policies and procedures to uphold food quality and safety standards.
- Ensure food served meets taste and quality expectations.
- Address and resolve any food quality abnormalities.
- Maintain rigorous food safety by enforcing proper hand hygiene, glove changes, monitoring line temperatures, shelf lives, and completing daily safety checklists.
- Manage customer service incidents to foster positive experiences.
- Oversee crew scheduling including breaks, shift changes, meetings, and line assignments.
- Develop and cross-train front-of-house staff to enhance versatility.
- Participate in crew performance evaluations and mentor emerging Service Leaders.
- Handle administrative duties such as banking, cash handling policies, and paperwork.
- Ensure office equipment functionality and supply inventory management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding and ability to communicate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
- Proficient knowledge of cash handling policies and food safety regulations.
- Experience with relevant office administrative tasks.
- Fluent in the primary language(s) used at the workplace for effective communication.
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Availability to work at least four days a week, including at least two days on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, with open 8-hour shifts during those days.
- Capability to commit to a minimum of 32 work hours weekly.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay ranging between $20.50 and $22.08 per hour based on skill, experience, and education.
